Baby Charli is a very special little girl who has had a rough start to her life. At just 20 months old she has already been through more than most of us go through in a lifetime.

Charli has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as Gardner's Syndrome - a genetic disorder which causes tumours to grow on the body. Her father and four year old brother also suffer from the same condition. In May this year, Charli underwent an operation to have a fibrous tumour removed from her skull. To compound things, Charli also has hypertonia, a disorder that affects the central nervous system and hypermobility which means she is yet to take her first steps.

In August this year, a very supportive group of friends banded together to organise a fundraising walk and family fun day to help Charli's parents with their ongoing medical expenses. The 3KM walk, led by Charli and her family was based up in Forster Tuncurry and was open for all to join.

When a close friend of Charli's parents contacted us here at GoVests asking for a hand, we were more than happy to help. The group were in need of pink safety vests with their logo and slogan 'We walked for baby Charli' printed on the back to wear on their fundraising walk. As they were for a charity we also supplied them with a discount that we offer to all charities and not for profit organisations.

We have heard the event was very successful and together they raised around $8500 for the deserving family! We feel very grateful that we were given the chance to play a part in helping baby Charli and her family out.

If you work for a charity or not for profit organisation and you are interested in any of our vests or printing, please do not hesitate to contact us to find out more. You can call us on 1800 505 290 or send us an email at We are always happy to play a part in helping a person in need!
